Travel Guide to Branson, Missouri
Branson, Missouri is a small city in Southwest Missouri in the middle of the Ozark Mountains with plenty of activities to offer for vacationers of any age.
There are a lot of things to see and do in Branson and among them the 13 golf courses that are most certainly will excite golf fans. These golf courses include 12 public courses (Bridgewood Country Club, Payne Stewart Golf Club of Branson Hills, Branson Creek Golf Club, Murder Rock Country Club, Pointe Royal, Fisher Creek Country Club, Don Gardner Par 3 Golf Course, Holiday Hills Resort and Golf, Thousand Hills Resort and Golf Club, West Branson Bluffs Resort, Top of the Rock Golf Course) and one private course, Ledgestone Country Club.
Branson also has to offer a large variety of live entertainment with more than 50 Theaters, the IMAX Theater, water parks, go cart tracks, different local tours, helicopter rides, plus the famous theme park Silver Dollar City with shopping, shows and rides. The theme park is surely a must do while visiting the Branson area. Silver Dollar City also holds a great number of festivals according to the taste and interest of numerous people, being open almost all year long, as it is closed in the winter season.
Branson area has three lakes, Lake Taney Como, Bull Shoals and Tablerock Lake. Tablerock is the nearest lake to Branson with boat and wave runner rentals, and offering egg hatchery, fishing, tubing, water skiing, swimming and of course camping.
If you had enough of the shows and water sports, you might want to visit the local shopping malls. Branson has three outlet malls: the Tanger Outlet, the Factory Merchants Mall and the Branson Meadows. These malls have anything from Tommy Hilfiger, Old Navy, Coach, the GAP, Liz Claiborne, Oshkosh, Carters, Vanity Fair or Reebok. The most recent shopping area is the Branson Landing with a great variety of shops and restaurants, plus live entertainment.
