Veterans Memorial Museum: A True Heritage of Branson
Visiting Branson in Missouri would be incomplete without visiting the historical presence of the Veterans Memorial Museum. The natural outskirts of Branson have been perfectly blessed with the presence of this museum, which has the emblems of the traditional people of Branson. The Veterans Memorial Museum is a symbolic notification of the freedom fighters of Branson.
The Veterans Memorial Museum adds a lot of variety to Branson, which shows the other part of this wonderful city. This part is quite important, as it owes to the fighters who fought out for the freedom of this place. This museum is the representation of the life of some great American fighters and real life heroes.
Fredd Hope was the sculptor and the brain behind this museum that had drawn inspiration from the stories of the battlefield from the senior Hope, his father. The younger Hope has framed his feelings and imaginations into this great architecture that resembled his veteran fighter father. There have been 10 distinct walls in this museum, in which some depicts the World War scenarios and the struggles of the fighters.
The other special features of this museum include the special room known as the “booty room” which holds testimony to the military souvenirs. The equipment’s, objects of art and culture, memorabilia and uniforms have been exhibited in the walls. The most spectacular feature is however a 70 feet bronze sculpture of life size soldiers who are 50 in number. There have been soldiers from all the states with Fredd Hope Senior leading the charge for the soldiers. Therefore, the Veterans Memorial Museum has been a true heritage of the life of the fighters of the state and the city.
